Hiroyori Fusugawa and Alex Youn have traveled to Orlando, Florida to present their research at the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Conference. This annual conference is a gathering of persistent and brilliant researchers in the fields of neuroscience, genetics, and translational medicine. Congratulations to Hiroyori and Alex on having the opportunity to present their work at this conference!
Hiroyori presented on the effects of Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) on improving muscle pathology in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
In Alex's study, he employed multiple behavioral assays to characterize age-related pain and the response to various analgesics in DMD mice. These findings identify neuropathic pathways as a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of DMD-associated pain.
